Lantern Hill Review publishes slow, essayistic writing about reading itself: the second pass, the borrowed language, the pencil in the margin. We would rather understand one habit well than survey a season.
- Read twice before writing once.
- A slow reader is not a failed fast reader.
- Describe the experience before judging the book.
- Keep the review small enough to remain honest.
